The Hawkeye Guide Gun Overview
Based on the Hawkeye, the Guide Gun features Ruger's creep-free LC6 trigger. It comes equipped with a removable radial muzzle brake based on your needs. If you decide to remove the muzzle brake, the Guide Gun offers a muzzle weight to maintain your rifle's point of impact — just like the brake was attached.
Like the Hawkeye, the Guide Gun boasts a stout hammer-forged barrel equipped with a band for slings.
The fore end of the Guide Gun has a sling stud for use with a bipod or varying sling preferences. While the Guide Gun comes with rings and integral scope mounts, it also boasts Express-type iron sights that are very popular on big game rifles. The Guide Gun Makes Finding Your Target Easier & Faster
The Hawkeye Guide Gun rifle empowers you to quickly and effortlessly find your target. It features a shallow "express-style" windage adjustable V-notch rear sight. It works seamlessly with the large white bead front sight to provide instant acquisition of your target. To ensure the Guide Gun is intelligently easy to use, it has a soft rubber butt pad with spacers. This design allows your rifle to be sized properly for different levels of outerwear and different shooters. The wrap-around checkering provides an excellent grip in all weather.
The Ruger Muzzle Brake System
The Ruger Muzzle Brake System features a radial-port, removable muzzle brake that substantially reduces felt recoil. When you do not prefer the brake, it can be quickly replaced with the dynamically matched muzzle weight, which is included. Most importantly, when you alternate between the weight and brake, it will not change your bullet's point of impact for a particular load. You can use the included thread protector if you use neither the brake nor the weight.

The Ruger Hawkeye Guide Gun features a Mauser-type, non-rotating controlled round feed extractor. This system remains among the most positive case extraction systems ever created. The fixed-blade ejector positively ejects empty cases as your bolt is moved fully rearward. In terms of the trigger, the LC6 trigger offers out-of-the-box, crisp, smooth performance for unmistakable accuracy in the field or on the range.
It offers a hinged solid-steel floorplate for easier unloading without chambering every cartridge. In addition, it features an engraved Ruger latch and logo that is flushed with the trigger guard to prevent accidental cartridge dumping.
